More work habits self-assessment results

In my continued pursuit of being the most productive worker in my home office (oh, I should give performance awards to myself, a nice coffee cup or a wall plaque, maybe), I've been monitoring my own work habits, watching over my own shoulder, you might say. I had used Time Stamp last week and found that I spend very little time actually working. Mostly I do household chores, pick at my keyboard, pet my cat, and eat, and none of those activities pay very well.

So last week I resolved to try to do better, and today my goal was to work at least 45 minutes out of each hour. I made it a couple of times; other times, I just did the best I could do. If you click on the picture, you can read my sorry excuses for leaving my desk.

A synopsis of the day: The longest working session lasted 52 minutes and 20 seconds, and the shortest session lasted 15 minutes and 59 seconds (with one false start of 1 minute 11 seconds).

I made my goal of working for at least 45 minutes 3 times (yay!) and almost made it 2 more times.

But will I keep it up???

In my next post, I'll count up my lines for this day and figure out my hourly wages to see if I've been slacking there as well.
